69.

I'm kinda second-guessing my sanity right now.

On one hand, I'm kind of proud of the fact that I didn't immediately start catastrophizing after yesterday's news.

On the other, it makes me wonder if I'm not processing at all right now, and I'm somehow burying it and it'll all burst out at once at some weird point down the line.

I'm just gonna press forward, then: Steam's Summer Sale is on, and I got some things.

Mini-Metro - I actually have this game on my phone and iPad. It's one of those games you can kind of zone out to, which is important to me, because it can kind of level me out if I'm feeling particularly shitty. I also like playing it if I need to solve a problem or plot out a story or something. I also really like the music. It intensifies with the game in a natural and subtle way. It's currently $5 USD.

Splice - This wasn't actually on sale, but it's $10 and has been on my wishlist since 2012. It's an artsy puzzle game that looks science-y.

Boyfriend Dungeon - a Dating Sim, the characters live in a world where some people can transform into weapons, and you fighting with them is a bonding experience. I've played and completed this on Xbox Game Pass. It's very low pressure, and the soundtrack is 10/10, would definitely recommend giving it a listen on Spotify even if you don't wanna play the game. This was also my first dating sim experience.

Monster Prom/Monster Camp - I haven't played either of these, but I really liked the premise when I first heard about them. As evidenced above, I've since learned that dating sims are kinda up my alley. And I've always loved cartoony monster media.

Starfighter Eclipse - This one is an X-Rated visual novel, based on HamletMachine's free Starfighter webcomic. (Link NSFW af.) Fair warning, it's a scifi comic that involves a lot of gay sex. You can see the artist's style improve over the course of the comic, and I really love their art style in general. Be warned that if you're interested in digging into their stuff, they also do a lot of BDSM art on their socials, in case you're not into that.

I also wanted Squad, which is a realistic, borderline MilSim team game, but Husband wants me to really deep dive into the reviews on it, because he doesn't want to pay for a game that I may not play much.

Whatever gets you through it, I'd say.
